Stay in this beautiful 1864 mansion in Southern Vermont and explore some fascinating art themes based on our visit to the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art!

Give yourself the gift of healing creativity

in a gorgeous setting!

This Bohemia Art Adventure is at a beautiful 1864 historic mansion in southern Vermont during peak foliage time. Picture yourself hiking around the lake, marvelling at the brilliance of the multi-colored leaves, inspired to feed your creative soul with the projects we have planned for your six-night stay. We will immerse ourselves in mixed media expressive art projects, long walks, art talks, good food and great company! And you will have plenty of time to rest, read, and rejuvenate YOU.

THE ART PART

Louise Bourgeois is on exhibit at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, a gem of a museum in nearby North Adams, MA. We will visit the museum and base our projects on her work and ideas.

Powerful themes in Louise's work that we will explore: SPIRALS, HANDS, FRIENDSHIPS, FEAR AND ANXIETIES, HOME, SEXUALITY, MORTALITY.

"The spiral is an attempt at controlling the chaos. It has two directions. Where do you place yourself, at the periphery or at the vortex? Beginning at the outside is the fear of losing control; the winding is a tightening, a retreating, a compacting to the point of disappearance. Beginning at the center is affirmation, the move outward is a representation of giving, and giving up control; of trust, positive energy, of life itself."

~LOUISE BOURGEOIS

Materials will include acrylic and watercolor paints, various other drawing and writing tools, collage materials, found objects. You are welcome to bring any favorite art materials.
