Paris Expressive

Art Adventure

FEED YOUR CREATIVE SOUL, IN STYLE!

May 25-May 31, 2020

Picture yourself studying amazing art pieces in Paris museums, then returning, inspired, to a gorgeous chateau on the outskirts of Paris to make expressive art. Soak up the visionary energy of Paris with a fantastic group of creatives under the guidance of a french-speaking former Parisian and an experienced expressive art instructor.

Picture relaxed, creative, inspired, bohemian, Parisian YOU!

ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Our studio for the week

This 1825 historic chateau was spectacularly restored, decorated and fully furnished in 2007 by world-renowned interior designer David Hare. Each artist will have her own luxurious room. There are spacious living and dining areas and beautiful park-like grounds. Most important, there is wonderful space for our studio art projects.

Explore art.Make art.

This is about Picasso's art, yes. But it's really about YOUR art. It's about your creative process, whether you've never touched a brush to paper before or are an artist who sells like, well, Picasso.

You will find yourself in a safe space to ponder, to try new things, to inspire and be inspired by the atmosphere, your fellow artists, and your expressive art cheerleaders, Cindy and Abby.

You will get an in-depth overview and fun, unique insights into each work that we visit in Paris, and have a chance to explore the rest of each museum. Then on studio days, we will present clear guidelines for the project inspired by our visit. There will be ample studio and free time all week to continue to work on all the projects.

The experience.

Your hosts with the most.

We are partners in Bohemia, an art studio in Boulder, Colorado. Abby has been empowering people creatively and leading art retreats all over Colorado for years. Cindy has led many informal trips to her childhood home  of Paris, has lived and traveled extensively abroad, and knows the ins and outs of Paris. We love bringing art to people, and people to art!

READ MORE ABOUT US HERE!

“We are inundated with advice on where to travel to, but we hear little of why and how we should go, even though the art of travel seems naturally to sustain a number of questions neither so simple nor so trivial, and whose study might in modest ways contribute to an understanding of what the Greek philosophers beautifully termed eudaimonia, or ‘human flourishing’.”

― Alain de Botton, The Art of Travel

If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young (wo)man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you,

for Paris is a moveable feast. -Ernest Hemingway
