We are all getting older and wiser by the day...so why not plot our own
journeys both by looking back and forward?
Can we change the dialogue and step away from stereotypes and outdated expectations?
The work of our Creative Crone workshops and retreats is to embrace the wise, mischievious,
wild and gorgeous women we are becoming!
Personal geographies, or mapping, is a process that can be intimate and personal, or grand and inclusive. Picture making an elaborate illustration of your life's journey using paint, mixed media and personal found objects. It is a visual record of meanderings, both mental and physical.
With humor and compassion, we will lead you through the mapping as well as other workshop sessions exploring ways to prioritize creative expression in your life based on transition and acceptance of our present life role. On this wonderful retreat we will offer various amazing creative exercises, reading, discussion and journaling! We believe that thinking about the transitions of our lives in a community of women is KEY.
Come explore, laugh, cry and create with an extraordinary group of crones (read: cool, interesting, wise women with incredible life experiences to share)...we promise magic, inspiration and acceptance. You will find yourself in a safe space to ponder, to try new things, to inspire and be inspired by the atmosphere and your fellow artists!

Our studio home
Our gorgeous ranch in Las Vegas, NM offers locally sourced chef-prepared meals, private bedrooms and bathrooms, wonderful outdoor space and plenty of room to create.
The ranch is the proud home to the largest labyrinth in the State of New Mexico. The beautiful 100-foot diameter picture-perfect Chartres replica labyrinth is the culmination of months' long preparations of the ground and the painstaking and thoughtful placement of tons and tons (and tons) of rocks. People enjoy the positive energy vortex of the labyrinth for reflective walks and self-guided meditations.
This is special for us as we have visited the Chartres Labyrinth twice on retreats and love the energy and contemplation it offers. We will offer our insights on using the labyrinth as a
spiritual and meditative tool.

We are partners in Bohemia, an art studio in Boulder, Colorado. We have been empowering people creatively and leading creative retreats all over the world for more than six years. We love bringing art to people, and people to art!
The details
The retreat cost is $2400 per person, single occupancy,
$2000 per person double occupancy.
All studio project instruction and art materials are included. All meals, snacks and beverages at the retreat property are included. Meals out are not included.
Transportation is not included. Albuquerque Airport is about two hours away, Santa Fe Airport is about an hour away and driving from Denver is 5 hours away.
A non-refundable $500 deposit by check or venmo is required when you register; the balance is due February 1, 2024. There are no refunds after the balance has been paid, unless the trip is cancelled by us in which case you will receive a full refund, including deposit.
