"Aging is not lost youth but a new stage of

opportunity and strength."

– Betty Friedan

How do we plot our own journeys as women of a "certain age?"

Can we change the dialogue and step away from stereotypes and ancient expectations?

The work of our Creative Crone workshops and retreats is to embrace the wise, mischievious, wild and gorgeous women we are becoming!

With humor and compassion, we will lead workshop sessions exploring ways to prioritize creative expression in your life based on transition and acceptance of this life role.  In this wonderful retreat we will have various amazing creative exercises, reading, discussion and journaling! We believe that thinking about this in a community of women is KEY.

Come explore, laugh, cry and create with an extraordinary group of crones...

we promise magic, inspiration and acceptance.

No experience necessary!

In the magnificent fierce morning of New Mexico one sprang awake, a new part of the soul woke up suddenly, and the old world gave way to a new.”

New Mexico: A Creative Mecca

Is the light in New Mexico REALLY as luminous and magical as they say? Join us for a retreat featuring fresh, sage-scented air, nurturing meals prepared by a local chef, wonderful company and a fascinating personal project. New Mexico has been an artists' mecca for centuries. Your trip here will be about your creative process, whether you've never touched a brush to paper before or have been making things for as long as you can remember.

We will soak ourselves in the atmosphere and gather inspiration to create our own pieces during studio time at the retreat property.

You will find yourself in a safe space to ponder, to try new things, to inspire and be inspired by the atmosphere and your fellow artists!

A Note from a fellow Crone about our workshop:

"I loved this workshop because it gave women of a certain age a space to stretch their wings and let their creativity fly. As we age, we realize that the space we occupy is rather overlooked, even invisible. This workshop allows us to meditate on our unique position and contributions as elder women."  Mary G

Our studio home

Our gorgeous ranch in Las Vegas, NM offers locally sourced chef-prepared meals, private bedrooms and bathrooms, wonderful outdoor space and plenty of room to create.

The ranch is the proud home to the largest labyrinth in the State of New Mexico. The beautiful 100-foot diameter picture-perfect Chartres replica labyrinth is the culmination of months' long preparations of the ground and the painstaking and thoughtful placement of tons and tons (and tons) of rocks. People enjoy the positive energy vortex of the labyrinth for reflective walks and self-guided meditations.

This is special for us as we have visited the Chartres Labyrinth twice on retreats and love the energy and contemplation it offers. We will offer our insights on using the labyrinth as a

spiritual and meditative tool.
