Taos, New Mexico

Art Adventure

Is the light in New Mexico REALLY as luminous and magical as they say? Join us for a retreat featuring fresh, sage-scented air, nurturing meals prepared by a local chef, hiking, yoga, and a day at the healing waters of Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs.

Taos is a charming town with wonderful museums and galleries and we will soak ourselves in artistic atmosphere and gather inspiration to create our own pieces during studio time at the retreat property.

Picture relaxed, creative, inspired, bohemian, YOU!

In the magnificent fierce morning of New Mexico one sprang awake, a new part of the soul woke up suddenly, and the old world gave way to a new.”

- D.H.Lawrence

Explore art. Make art.

New Mexico has been an artists' mecca for centuries. Your trip here will be about your creative process, whether you've never touched a brush to paper before or have been making things for as long as you can remember.

You will find yourself in a safe space to ponder, to try new things, to inspire and be inspired by the atmosphere and your fellow artists. We visit local museums and study the history and process of a genre and/or piece, then return to our studio space to work on guided projects inspired by our outings. All materials are prepared and included

Our studio home

Blue Bird Farm is located about 5 miles from Taos in the high desert of northern New Mexico.

Healthful, nutritious and delicious dishes made with local ingredients are provided by a local chef.

Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs and Spa is just 25 minutes east, and we will sneak off there for a day to rejuvenate our bodies and minds!

Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs and Spa

Your hosts with the most.

We are partners in Bohemia, an art studio in Boulder, Colorado. Abby has been empowering people creatively and leading art retreats all over Colorado for years. Cindy has led many informal trips to her childhood home  of Paris, has lived and traveled extensively abroad, and knows the ins and outs of Paris. We love bringing art to people, and people to art!
